Worst tropical smoothie in Richmond area. Terribly managed. Always wait 10+ minutes for a damn smoothie.
The smoothie was good this time around. Sometimes they can be a bit watered down, just a consistency issue. Clean facilities.
Everyone's smoothies were taking forever, and once they realized the 4 people that ordered after me got their smoothie before me, they asked what I was waiting for. Once I told them, they just grabbed a smoothie that was sitting to the side already made. It's not what I ordered, and the others before me didn't get what they ordered either. There were 3 people making smoothies and it wasn't THAT busy. I'm not happy.
I'm only giving two stars because the sandwich tasted good even though it had so much sauce on it that it was almost too sloppy to eat. I used to come here a lot years ago and loved it. This is my first time back in maybe a year or so and I'm shocked at how downhill it has gone. The fishtank which had the most beautiful saltwater fish is empty and dirty as if they all died months ago and no one has bothered to remove it. Then I go to use the restroom and the women's room is "out of order", after being forced to use the men's room the floor was so sticky to the point it slightly held my foot down. I received my smoothie and sandwich and after the first sip I was so upset.. Their smoothies used to be so smooth and creamy and now it's chunky with ice and tastes like bitter medicine from the added supplements not being blended well. This was the same smoothie I used to order years ago and loved and now it isn't what I remember at all! I'm very disappointed :(
I love this particular Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Why you ask? Because the young ladies and young man working here are always polite when I am there. They always get my order correct. And I visit this location daily. I had a bad experience at several other locations and this one is by far the best location I have ever been in. Thanks for the great customer service every single visit!
